First impressions before buying- that's the most life like frog lure I have ever seen.
First impression after watching a video on you tube‐ wow look at that action, the way the legs kick and then it rests so realistically.
First impressions after buying- damn that looks so good it's gonna catch so many fish.
Impressions after using it the first time- ok it's impossible to walk it. second cast it doesn't sit right because it's full of water. Third cast wtf the legs go out but don't flutter at all on retrieve :( fourth cast, oh it doesn't even stay upright :S fifth cast , legs are tangled D:
One hour later impressions- I'm not gonna blame the lure... yet. You can get a fairly realistic action with some super finessed rod and reel work. Fast retrieve to get it to dive, then pull slack, hard pull on the rod once you see it hit the top and it'll pop out the water, at which point if you jerk and or don't reel quick enough is where the tangles happen, then you can give a pause. If you want a swimming action you gotta do a light quick reel twitch or very quick light successive rod flicks with a steady retreive. Despite the lack of hits or bashes the patterning on the legs is peeling and distorting around the joints.
My unprofessional suggestions (based off my experience and post fourm review)
1, wire through leg design
2,rather than patterning the legs maybe a dual tone casted soft plastic is good enough
3.enlarged foot design to improve leg action
4,stabilizing the foot webbing to make it paddle more effectively
5,additional internal weighting under the hook joint to help it stay upright and to counter the tendency for it to sit fully vertical on pauses and more horizontal.
